As seen through the eyes of a child, this is a story about Polish children who were deported to Siberia in 1940 and survived the horrors of the Soviet labour camps.
This film documents their journey from Siberia to a refugee camp in Africa and to their final destination in Canada. Hungry, terrified and orphaned, their childhood was denied but their spirit led them to freedom and a life full of hope.
