Canadian-based COMET ENTERTAINMENT INC. (www.cometentertainment.com), an animation production and content development group and Spanish-based FANCIFUL ARTS ANIMATION, SL. have announced today that they are commencing the production of its much anticipated animated feature film "Santa VS Claus". The movie will be released on Christmas 2007.
Christmas is in trouble. Santa, who has been bitten by the Fame Bug, is now magically split from Claus, his conscience and Christmas Spirit. 'Fun, fun, fun' seems to be Santa's new purpose in life. Into this volatile situation strides Vladimir Dragonoff - owner of VLADEX - who is chosen by Santa to let him and his package delivery company take over the giving out of presents on Christmas Eve. Vladimir has, of course, far greater plans than that: he wants nothing less than to ruin Christmas for everyone...
"This adventurous show with lots of humour calls for a high quality traditional animation style. That's why it is being produced in High Definition", says Comet Entertainment Inc. CEO Raquel Benitez.
"We are avoiding the 'just another Christmas special' tag on this film. It will stand up on its own", says FANCIFUL ARTS ANIMATION managing director Chris Doyle.
The international sales of the show will be managed by German based group Telepool (www.telepool.de). As their representatives stated: "TELEPOOL is very happy to work together on this ambitious Christmas Tale with Fanciful Arts and Comet Entertainment Inc - we deeply believe in this charming project and hope this is the beginning of a long lasting relationship".
