Comet Entertainment Inc., the Toronto-based content development and production entertainment company, has signed an agreement with Toronto's Kennedy College to manage and direct the College's Diploma Course in Computer Graphic Design and Animation.
The goal of the three-year program of study is to prepare students for careers in animation, and Comet's involvement will ensure that students gain a clear and realistic view of the industry. Coursework will include studies in production process, storytelling, drawing basics, storyboarding techniques, classic animation, 2D and 3D animation, Flash, Maya, video and audio production, and computer graphics (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.). As part of their training, students will obtain valuable experience through internship programs in key animation studios around the world.
Comet Entertainment Inc. creates designs and delivers long and short form animation content for broadcasters and online media, and game titles for next generation consoles and the PC. The company was previously associated with highly successful programs of study in animation in colleges and universities in Europe.
In addition to the Computer Graphic Design and Animation, Kennedy College of Technology offers a wide range of diploma programs to local and overseas students including business administration, international business administration, and computer programmer/analyst.
